Cinnamon is extracted from a perennial tropical tree that can grow up to 45 feet tall, known for its fragrant bark and flowers. Cinnamon essential oil is obtained through a steam distillation method of its bark.

Usage ideas:

• Applied topically in massages, its properties help relieve muscle and joint pain. It is considered an oil with warming qualities; it is a natural stimulant and aphrodisiac. Mix a few drops in a carrier oil to use it this way.
