Hello! One of the most frequent questions I receive is about the essential essential oils for your medicine cabinet. While it depends on your needs, there are some that shouldn't be missing.
Over the years, my favorite blends and oils have been my allies. In fact, I don't know what I would do without them! In my home, I always have five blends/oils strategically placed for use at any time.
Don't know which ones to choose? Below, I share our recipes for blends/ essential oils for different purposes, along with some simple blends to get the most out of them.
1. Rest and Relaxation:
Many turn to essential oils to relax and relieve stress. Some of them awaken physical and emotional responses that reduce daily life stressors.
Lavender & Sueña Blend
Lavender is an incredibly versatile essential oil. The Sueña Blend is designed for deep rest. Both Lavender and other oils are perfect for relaxing and sleeping soundly, relieving stress.
For a simple blend:
You can mix them in a diffuser or in a small spray bottle with equal parts alcohol and water.
2. Immune System
Many essential oils have detoxifying and strengthening effects on the body, in addition to purifying the air.
Oregano, Thyme & Citrus
Oregano and Thyme are powerful antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal agents. Excellent for preventing illnesses, but should be used in moderation due to their potency. Citrus fruits, such as Lemon and Orange, also have antimicrobial properties and are ideal for air purification.
For a simple blend of Oregano and Thyme:
- 3 drops of Cinnamon
- 3 drops of Eucalyptus
- 2 drops of Tea Tree
- 2 drops of Oregano and/or Thyme
For a simple citrus blend:
- 5 drops of Lemon
- 3 drops of Eucalyptus
- 2 drops of Tea Tree
3. Emotional Balance
The sense of smell is linked to your emotions. When inhaling essential oils, you send signals to your brain that affect your emotional well-being.
Sandalwood & Contempla Blend
Sandalwood, used for centuries in religious ceremonies, enhances meditation. The Contempla Blend, with oils for concentration and relaxation, connects you with yourself and fosters communication.
For a simple blend:
- 5 drops of Sandalwood
- 3 drops of Lavender
- 2 drops of Rosemary
4. Respiratory System
A healthy respiratory system is crucial for a vigorous body. Various oils help fight germs and promote clear breathing.
Eucalyptus & Inspira Blend
Eucalyptus relieves cough and congestion. The Inspira Blend, with bactericidal and expectorant properties, keeps airways clear.
For a simple blend:
- 3 drops of Eucalyptus
- 3 drops of Lemon
- 2 drops of Peppermint
5. Fresh Air, Clean Home
Essential oils eliminate bacteria in the air by altering their molecules and improving the environment.
Cinnamon & Rosemary
Cinnamon, with antibacterial properties, is useful during illnesses. Rosemary, considered sacred in ancient history, refreshes the air and wards off negative energy.
For a simple cinnamon blend:
- 5 drops of Orange
- 3 drops of Eucalyptus
- 2 drops of Cinnamon
For a simple rosemary blend:
- 3 drops of Bergamot
- 3 drops of Lemongrass
- 2 drops of Rosemary
